Google finds fix for broken back gesture on older Pixels
Google rolled out Android 15 to its Pixel phones in October. While it introduced new features, users began to notice a strange bug: an inward swipe from the right side did not activate the back gesture as intended.
This issue is now marked as Fixed on the Issue Tracker. A Google employee stated that a solution is "rolling out in an upcoming release."

Some noted that the bug affected swipes from both sides, not just the right. Essentially, swiping failed to register, preventing the phone from navigating back.

There are temporary patches available, such as using three-button navigation, but some might find this a step backward. The official fix is expected to be included in the upcoming monthly update in early February.

Buying a Pixel phone is basically paying Google to become a beta tester for an unfinished device.
