Meta AI chatbot gets better at remembering things you said, and is more personal
Meta has an AI chatbot called - you're not going to believe this - Meta AI. And it's getting smarter. Meta has announced that the chatbot has received a memory boost, meaning it can now remember more details you share with it in one-on-one WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger chats. Its memory is said to "help it personalize future responses so they're more useful and relevant to you".
You can tell it to remember things about you (what you like to do, for example), and it also picks up on important details based on context. Say you ask for breakfast suggestions, and it gives you something with meat, and you then tell it you're a vegan - it will remember that and use it for future recipe recommendations.
You can delete its memories at any time. This feature is rolling out in the US and Canada only.
Next up, the chatbot has a greater level of personalization. The example Meta gives is as follows: you want it to recommend something to do with your family during the weekend and it will suggest tickets for a country music show at your local arena, based on your home location you set on Facebook, recent views of reels showing live performances by country artists, and the chatbot's memory that you have a partner and two young kids.
This is rolling out in the US and Canada only, but not only to WhatsApp and Messenger - Instagram gets to play too.

Funny how they're showing just how bad and useless this "AI" is on the official Meta Newsroom... "I am vegan though" and it suggests two vegetarian meals, both of which have milk products in them. 🤦♂️🤦♂️

Starting a betting pool, for how long it will take until THEY start using our data, our secrets, our unshared information against us. Decades? Years? Or...?

I'm not using Meta AI, and do not plan to use it. Now, I know, this will not stop Meta from doing what they're already doing. But not with my support.
