Xiaomi Watch S4 in for review

The Xiaomi Watch S4 has arrived on the global stage and it has some big shoes to fill - its predecessor is a hugely popular wearable.
The Watch S4 ships with a fluororubber strap and a 2-pin magnetic charger. The charger still uses a USB-A plug - in 2025, we think a USB-C cable would've been better.
Like its predecessor, the Watch S4 comes in a single 47mm case size with a 1.43-inch display. The display's brightness has grown significantly, though, from 600 nits to 2,200 nits.
The swappable bezels made the previous model special, and the new model has made them better. There's now a warning when you remove the bezel - the watch vibrates constantly until you place the bezel back on the watch.
The case has a bayonet-style mechanism, where the bezel locks into place. Coupled with the standard 22mm strap size, it's an ingenious way to freshen up your watch down the line.
Our unit came bundled with a colorful bezel and rubber strap combination, but you can get additional ones, like this dual-tone leather and stainless steel + ceramic bezel option.
The battery remains the same 486mAh unit with a claimed endurance of 15 days. We got around 5 days of heavy use from the older model and will test to see whether the newer model's brighter display hinders that.
Stay tuned for our full review!
