Samsung Galaxy Book5 laptops launch in India with second-gen Intel Core Ultra processors

It took a while, but Samsung’s Galaxy Book5 series of AI-powered laptops will soon be available in India. Sales will begin on March 20, the laptops will be available through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, plus leading online and retail partners.

You can pre-book a laptop starting today and if you do, you can pick up the Galaxy Buds3 Pro for just ₹3,000 (way down from their MSRP of ₹20,000).

The Samsung Galaxy Book5 laptops are powered by second-generation Intel Core Ultra processors. These are fabbed by TSMC instead of Intel itself and promise a 16% increase in single-core CPU performance, 17% boost to GPU performance (with new Battlemage graphics) and an NPU capable of 47 TOPS.

The Samsung Galaxy Book5 series arrives in India

The laptops promise over a day of battery life (25 hours) and some are capable of fast charging (the Pro can get to 41% in 30 minutes). AI features include AI Select (similar to Circle to Search), and Photo Remaster.

There are three models in the series. The Galaxy Book5 360 is the cheapest of the three, but it’s in the middle in terms of size (15.6”, 1.46kg). The Book5 Pro is the smallest and in the middle in terms of pricing (14”, 1.23kg). The Book5 Pro 360 is the biggest and priciest of the three (16”, 1.56kg).
