Some regions will get stable One UI 7 later than expected, including the US

Samsung began rolling out One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 in the US, the UK, Korea and India, same for the Galaxy S23 series. You’d think that these would be in the first wave of countries to get the stable release of Samsung’s new software and you’d be almost right.

According to the global press release, stable One UI 7 is coming to the Galaxy S24 series, the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 on April 7. Checking the press releases for the UK, Korea and India, they all only list one date, April 7.

The US press release, however, says this: “The update will be available in the US starting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 on April 10, gradually rolling out to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets.”

Some regions will get stable One UI 7 later than expected, including the US

Thankfully, it’s a small delay – we’ve waited this long, what’s another 3 days? – but patience must be wearing thin among owners of older Galaxy devices.

There is no press release for Canada or Mexico, so we don’t know whether this is a North American issue or something specific to the US.

To be fair, the wording of the press releases is kind of vague. The US one starts by stating that “the official rollout of One UI 7 will start on April 7” and then goes on to clarify that the US release is scheduled for April 10. All the other local press releases that we looked at only contain the April 7 claim and give no country-specific timing.

This could mean that other countries will have to wait a few days too – or not. At this point it’s best to arm yourself with patience. Especially if your phone is older than an S24.
