Oppo will launch the Find X8 Ultra, Find X8s and X8s+ this Thursday (April 10), alongside a new tablet, watch and earbuds. The Ultra camera flagship has been spotted on TENAA by tipster Anvin, which gives us a preview of what is coming.

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra (PKJ110) will measure 163.1 x 76.8 x 8.78mm and will weigh 226g. This is with a 5,970mAh battery, according to TENAA’s specs (which may have some inaccuracies).

The display will be a flat 6.82” OLED panel with 1,440 x 3,168px resolution. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite with 12GB/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage. The top-of-the-line 16GB/1TB model will have satellite connectivity.

The phone will have four 50MP cameras on its rear – previous info names the 1” LYT-900 sensor for the main and the IMX882 for the ultra-wide. Then there are the two telephotos – 3x (IMX906) and 6x (IMX882). There is an additional 2MP sensor listed whose function is unclear (depth sensor, perhaps). The selfie camera will have a 32MP sensor.

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra will be unveiled later this week, but it is unlikely to launch outside of China. The same goes for the 6.3” Oppo Find X8s and 6.6” Find X8s+.

It would have made more sense to use IMX 882 as 3x and IMX 906 as 6x because IMX 906 is the bigger sensor.

I agree 100% that native 6x is better from sensor crop. But even if they use same sensor from last year(1/2.5) just at 8x would be more versatile camera
