Samsung halts One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy S24 series

Michail, 14 April 2025

Nobody expected Samsung’s One UI 7 rollout to take so long, and while certain S24 series devices across South Korea and Europe began receiving the update last week, users are now reporting that the update is no longer available to download.

Samsung seems to have pulled the firmware update from its OTA servers without explaining why. According to leakster Ice Universe, Samsung discovered several bugs on devices that got the One UI 7 update, including instances where updated phones could “not be unlocked normally”. SamMobile also reported a critical bug with Samsung's Secure Folder, which exposes users’ Gallery contents.

Samsung halts One UI 7 rollout

Samsung has now halted the One UI 7 update globally for a number of devices, including the entire Galaxy S24 series as well as the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 foldables. This likely means that the previously shared update rollout schedule will be altered once more. We’ll keep an eye out for any new developments on the case and will update you accordingly.
