Honor Magic V4's launch timeframe leaks

Vlad, 20 February 2025

Earlier today, Oppo made the Find N5 official as the new world's thinnest single-folding / bi-fold foldable smartphone (the Huawei Mate XT is still thinner when unfolded, but that one folds twice or is "tri-fold" as they say). The Find N5 took the crown from the Honor Magic V3, but of course that device came out last year and Honor is already working on its successor.

It's still unclear if the Magic V4 will be thinner than the Find N5, but a new rumor out of China claims we should expect Honor's next foldable to launch in the first half of the year - close to June, if not in June.

That would be a month earlier than the V3, but this is of course nothing out of the ordinary - a lot of smartphone makers keep announcing devices earlier in the year than their predecessors.

After the Magic V4, vivo will launch the X Fold4, while Honor itself will have a very busy middle of the year according to today's rumor, since it's also releasing the 400 series, the GT Pro, and the Magic V Flip2.

Nobody buys foldables for the chip. Its the form factor which sells. Top selling foldables are with older chips, because they are more pocket friendly. Razr 50, Tecno Fold 2, OnePlus Open are the current top sellers with older chipset.
