ASUS announces ZenFone 3 series in India

ASUS has announced its entire ZenFone 3 series in India. This includes the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 Ultra, and the ZenFone 3 Laser.

The first one to actually go on sale out of the four is the ZenFone 3. The base model has a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a smaller 2650mAh battery whereas the more expensive model has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and 3000mAh battery. Common features include a Snapdragon 625 processor, 16 megapixel rear camera with f2.0 aperture, OIS, and 4K video recording, 8 megapixel front camera, fingerprint sensor, hybrid dual SIM slot, USB Type-C, and Android 6.0. The base model is priced at INR 21,999 ($328) and is available immediately across online retailers such as Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Paytm, ShopClues, Tata CLiQ and in chain store – Sangeetha Mobiles. It will also be available in offline retail outlets before the end of August.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the flagship model. It has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display, 23 megapixel rear camera, 8 megapixel front camera, hybrid dual SIM slot, and 3000mAh battery. The base model runs on Snapdragon 820 with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and is priced at INR 49,999 ($747) and the more expensive model runs on the brand new Snapdragon 821 with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage, and is priced at INR 62,999 ($941).

The massive ZenFone 3 Ultra has a 6.8-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 652, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 23 megapixel rear camera, 8 megapixel front camera, hybrid dual SIM slot, and 4600mAh battery that can also charge other devices. The ZenFone 3 Ultra is priced at INR 49,999 ($747).

Lastly, there is the ZenFone 3 Laser, which will be the cheapest phone in the range. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, fingerprint sensor, hybrid dual SIM slot, and 3000mAh battery. ZenFone 3 Laser is priced at INR 18,999 ($283).

ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 Ultra, and ZenFone 3 Laser will be available from September 2016 across all major e-commerce sites like Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Paytm, ShopClues, Tata CLiQ, and leading retail stores and Asus Exclusive Stores across India.

I wanted to buy Zenphone ultra but considering its shocking high price, I bought the Mi max for just Rs. 14000 and it is really a fantastic device and way better than the ultra. I am 100% sure Asus will miserably fail in India because of this insane ...
