July update starts rolling out to BlackBerry phones

Himanshu, 06 July 2017

BlackBerry has announced that it has started rolling out the July security update to its Android-powered smartphones. The announcement came in the form of a tweet from the company's Security Incident Response Team.

It's worth mentioning that the update is currently only hitting units purchased through the company's online store ShopBlackBerry. Model bought from retailers and carriers may not get the update imminently.

In case you missed, the Nokia 6 as well as Pixels and Nexuses have also started receiving the latest security patch.
