February security update to fix Android Auto's intermittent launch failures

Himanshu, 23 January 2018

Just last week, Google acknowledged the Android Auto pixelated display issue, and now, the Mountain View, California-based company has provided a heads-up on yet another Android Auto-related problem.

The issue in question prevents the service from launching intermittently. A company employee Yurim confirmed on the official Google forums that fix for the problem will be included in the next security update.

So it's reasonable to expect that the February update will include the solution to the problem. Yurim also revealed that they are working with the Android OS team to sort out other Android Auto issues as well.

I hope they eventually get around to fixing the problem that keeps Nexus 6 from working on the Pioneer AVH-2300NEX.
