Asus Zenfone 5 Lite render leaks with quad-cameras and an 18:9 1080p+ display

Enrique, 09 February 2018

There is a lot of smartphone news lined up for Barcelona later this month at the MWC. The latest leak comes from @evleaks and shows a render of the unannounced Asus Zenfone 5 Lite. We are expecting the Asus Zenfone 5 to be the headliner at Asus’ press event but a Lite version might be debuting alongside the Zenfone 5.

The render shows a smartphone with four cameras. According to Evan Blass, the phone has Dual 16MP main cameras and dual front-facing 20MP cameras for selfies and portrait camera features like (presumably) beauty mode and artificial bokeh.

The render also shows off the phone’s new 18:9 display with Full HD+ resolution. The screen’s diagonal dimension might be somewhere between 5.7 and 6.0 inches. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and you can clearly see the dual camera cutouts in the front.

Asus’ press event is scheduled to take place on February 27 and will take place in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress where the company is expected to announce the Zenfone 5.

I would want huge bezel sized front speakers they will give you grip, protect your phone from sides and make you deaf with loud music

We'll see, hopefully not. I'd be more accepting of bezeless if the screen was wayy more durable and maybe when taking pictures I could press on the edge of the screen to get a grip without activating anything on screen.
