Samsung Galaxy A8 Star and A8 Lite inching closer to launch with 3C certification

Yordan, 11 May 2018

Two Samsung phones with model numbers SM-G8750 and SM-G8850 appeared last month on TENAA. The devices, expected to be called Galaxy A8 Lite and Galaxy A8 Star are even closer to launching in China after the 3C regulatory approved them. The listing also revealed that they will both support 15W charging.

As seen in the image, they will be able to go up to 9V at 1.67A along with the regular 5V at 2A. There is no more official information for now, but a TENAA listing revealed you will be filling a 3,700 mAh power cell.

Other specs confirmed included 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of storage, and a dual 16 + 24 MP camera setup. There is no word on launch dates yet, but given the low reach of Samsung devices on the Chinese market, the devices should arrive in other countries as well.
