Lenovo K9 launches in India with Helio P22 and four cameras

Ro, 16 October 2018

Lenovo just announced its next low-end smartphone from the K-series - the Lenovo K9 and it's going against the Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme C1 and Xiaomi's Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A.

The Lenovo K9 features a 5.7-inch IPS panel with HD+ (720x1440 pixels) resolution and a trendy 18:9 aspect ratio. The chipset behind the wheel is MediaTek's Helio P22 coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with microSD card support for up to 256GB more.

Despite its low price, the handset comes with a dual-camera setup on the back - 13MP main sensor with 5MP secondary one for depth sensing. Interestingly enough, the front also houses two cameras - once again 13MP + 5MP. The usual AI-aided bokeh mode and face unlock are at hand.

The Lenovo K9 is powered by a 3,000 mAh unit and runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The fingerprint is placed on the glass back and the available colors are Black and Blue. The launch price of the product is just INR 8,999 ($123) and will be made available exclusively on Flipkart with no information about a release date.
