vivo NEX Dual Display edition gets torn down on video

Vlad, 05 February 2019

vivo's NEX Dual Display edition is definitely one of the more intriguing phones of the past few months, with its two screens. Not just that, but the secondary panel isn't just a tiny one, measuring 5.49" in fact.

We've already seen some disassembly pictures of the NEX Dual Display last month, but if you're into phone teardowns then you should probably also watch the video embedded below, the newest in a series from YouTube channel JerryRigEverything.

You'll find that disassembling this phone isn't incredibly easy, and once you're in some surprises do await, like how basically the entirety of the phone's internals are affixed to the main display, while the secondary screen is attached to the metal frame. This funnily enough means you can use the phone's displays while they're side by side, because there's only a ribbon cable that connects the secondary one to the motherboard.
