Nokia 801T gets unveiled in China, sports a TV antenna

26 December, 2011

Quite frankly, our first thought when we saw the freshly announced Nokia 801T was that we are looking at a skillfully made Chinese clone. The above thought did not go to rest until we saw the device featured in Nokia's official Chinese blog.

Nokia 801T is a TD-SCDMA newtwork device. Its known spec sheet is rather scarce for the time being. We know that it runs the ageing Symbian^3, has NFC connectivity and a 4" display, packed in an all-metal unibody. The icing on the cake however, is the presence of a telescopic TV antenna on board. It allows the device to receive TV signal without tapping into the mobile network, thus saving a small fortune for its users.

Pricing and launch date for the Nokia 801T are not known yet. As always, we'll keep you posted.
