Oppo A53 is officially launching on August 25

Earlier today we received a tip about a phone called Oppo A53 appearing in Indonesia, and today the Oppo India finally lifted the curtain - the phone will be launched on August 25. It has already appeared on Flipkart, but pricing in India is yet to be revealed.

The A53 will bring 18W fast charging to the table where the battery is expected to be 5,000 mAh. The smoothness of the phone will come from the fact it will bring 90 Hz refresh rate of the panel which was listed on Lazada Indonesia as a 6.5” LCD with HD+ resolution.

The price remains the biggest unknown - its asking price in Indonesia is INR2.49 million, which is about $170/€140. This means Oppo India is likely to introduce a starting price of INR12,999 for a 4/64 GB variant, although we are always up for a surprise.

Gsmarena is international website so it should use symbols recognised internationally which is INR, same like JPY, CNY, USD, GBP, EUR & etc. That Indian Rupee you mentioned probably only recognised by India & some Asian coi countries.
