MediaTek's next flagship SoC to come in Q1 2021

After Qualcomm's top-tier chipset, the Snapdragon 888 debuted, MediaTek is expected to release its high-end offering and the company's CEO now gave us a time frame. We are talking Q1 2021.

The company's head confirmed in an interview that MediaTek is working hard to bring its chipset before Chinese New Year. Unfortunately, no specifics were given but recent reports suggest that it will most likely use TSMC's 6nm manufacturing process since the 5nm fabs are already packed with orders from Apple and Qualcomm.

There are high chances that it the MT6893 chipset doing rounds on benchmark listings lately, showing strong single and multi-core performance.
