Redmi Note 12 4G's launch date, design, and key specs revealed

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi Note 12 series in India in January, consisting of three smartphones - Redmi Note 12 (5G), Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Now the company is set to bring the Redmi Note 12 4G to India next, which will debut in the Asian country on March 30.

The event page set up by the Chinese brand on its official Indian website reveals the Redmi Note 12 4G will be powered by the Snapdragon 685 SoC and pack a 120Hz Super AMOLED display with a centered punch hole for the selfie camera.

The smartphone will sport a triple camera setup on the back, headlined by a 50MP camera, and fueling the entire package will be a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging. It will also have a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top, joined by an IR blaster.

A picture shared by a company official shows the Redmi Note 12 4G in a "special colorway" with a glittery pattern on the rear cover, confirming two color options for the smartphone. But it's unclear if there will be more.

Redmi will introduce the Redmi Note 12 series in Europe later today, where we could see the Note 12 4G fully unveiled. Generation naming is presumably reserved for new 5G-enabled platform from Qualcomm, so no, this is not SD 2 Gen 1
