Realme's TechLife gets a Narzo overhaul

Sagar, 04 April 2023

Realme announced the TechLife ecosystem a few years ago, as a part of which it launched many AIoT devices, including smart home products such as an air purifier and vacuum cleaner. The company also introduced Dizo as the first sub-brand in the TechLife ecosystem for AIoT products. Now it seems Realme wants to change things a bit since the brand has announced that it will no longer launch AIoT products under the TechLife ecosystem, as it "will now be your go-to page for all things realme narzo."

Realme also asked its AIoT fans to follow @realmeIndia on Twitter since the AIoT products will likely launch only under the Realme branding.

This announcement makes us question the fate of Dizo, whose portfolio mainly consists of wireless earphones and smartwatches. It has launched a couple of handsets, but those are not smartphones. There's also a hairdryer and a few beard trimmers, but that's something Realme has launched too.

It's also worth mentioning that Dizo was supposed to be joined by more brands as a part of the TechLife ecosystem. However, it's been almost two years since Dizo launched its first product, and with TechLife being all about Narzo now - a lineup that only comprises smartphones - it remains to be seen if Dizo will continue to be a part of the TechLife ecosystem or become a proper sub-brand of Realme.

At the time of writing this, Dizo's official website continues to mention "Smart Entertainment," "Smart Home," "Smart Care," and "Accessories" as its product categories and says that Dizo relies on Realme's industrial design, supply chain, AIoT experience, and after-sales service to run the business.

Talking about Narzo, Realme has started teasing a new Narzo smartphone in India but hasn't divulged its specs yet. However, you can expect the brand to reveal more about it as we inch closer to its launch.

This is intentionally done. Most users don't actually know that many brands are just subbrands of a bigger company and they don't really care. Suppose, a normal user had a bad experience with a Vivo phone. Now, he'd certainly thin...

Why you are not releasing of updates in realme narzo 20 and UI updates please release

Is there an unspoken rule that Chinese OEMs just HAVE to make a sub brand? Just make different product lines like X series for budget, Y series for mid rangers and Z series for Flagships.
