Oppo makes the most of UEFA partnership at Champions League final

Oppo is official global partner of UEFA and as the only smartphone maker in that position it put on quite a show at the Champion's league final.

The company invited select fans and brand ambassador Kaká to the exclusive Oppo Hospitality Tent next to the Atatürk Olympic Stadium for the 2023 championship league final between Manchester City and Inter Milan. Inside, there were plenty of photo opportunities but not a DSLR in sight – the likes of the Oppo Find X6 Pro and Oppo Find N2 Flip were used instead.

We were among those invited to watch the final and experience the mix of sport memorabilia and cutting edge mobile tech that was arranged inside the Hospitality Tent. Things went from casual – posing for photos under the scoreboard that was inspired by the vivo X Flip cover display – to competitive when Kaká arrived to take part in the kick-up challenge.

Then it was off to the stadium to watch the big game and everyone from the tent was equipped with an Oppo phone to try their hand at being a sports photographer. Here the phones put their lenses to use – from the telephoto lens to zoom in on the action to the ultra-wide camera to try and capture the enormous crowd that had gathered at the stadium.

Earlier in the day attendees were also let loose through the historic city to snap a selfie inside the Grand Bazaar but also on its roof – a location you might recognize from Skyfall's opening scenes. You could also feel how the excitement was building ahead of the game as fans from all around the world gathered in the city and fan chants were coming from all directions.

The Oppo and UEFA partnership extends to the 2023/24 Champions League as well, the final match is set to be played on Wembley Stadium in London.
