nubia is also bringing a Red Magic tablet and Dao TWS buds on July 5

Yordan, 30 June 2023

Rumors about a new tablet by nubia were true, the ZTE brand revealed today. At the July 5 launch, we will see the Red Magic Gaming Tablet, according to the official Weibo page of the company. It will have relatively thin bezels, a single front-facing camera and a big diagonal.

The event will also see the launch of the Red Magic Dao TWS earbuds - flagship-tier audio wearables with “extreme aesthetics and performance”.

There is no word on the Red Magic Tablet’s specs. We can only assume it will bring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset or Dimensity 9200+. The screen size is not mentioned so far, but we expect a big diagonal, probably 12.1”. It may or may not be a rebranded ZTE Axon Pad with a 10,000 mAh battery and a 605 g body, but we will know for sure on Wednesday.

The event is just five days away, and nubia also revealed earlier the Red Magic 8S Pro smartphone will have 165W fast charging and a 6,000 mAh battery. Since the phone is practically a copy of the Red Magic 8 Pro series, we could see the regular 8S Pro sport the big cell while having an 8S Pro+ sibling with fast charging and a smaller 5,000 mAh capacity.

Both phones will also have an improved under-display camera, which we already saw in official renders. nubia believes gaming smartphones should not have notches or punch holes, and as we established in our Red Magic 8 Pro review, it looks really good in real life, and the camera is barely visible.

i'm good with my Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro..

They already shared most of its specs on their Weibo account. It will have a 12.1" display and an inferior 8+G1 chipset. Tab S9 is the way to go.

If the tablet is 12, theres a no-go from me regardless of specs. Think theres a new S9 reveal later in July, and would think they run 10 this time around also
