Samsung has been drumming up a surprising amount of hype around the Galaxy Ring. The Korean giant teased the gadget during the January Unpacked even that made the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra official. There has been no further info from the company since then, but current speculations hint at a possible July release for the ring at the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 announcement event.

Samsung Galaxy Ring to make an appearance at MWC 2024

We might actually get an opportunity to check out the Galaxy Ring before that, at least in some capacity. Word on the street is that Samsung will showcase the ring at its MWC 2024 booth. That being said, it might be a bit too early to hope for a proper hands-on experience with the Galaxy Ring since it is allegedly still in the prototyping phase, with mass production set to begin between April and June.

Seeing how that is the case, we still don’t know all of the details surrounding the Galaxy Ring and its capabilities. The Galaxy Ring will have ECG support and will measure blood pressure, and will also support NFC payments. There will apparently be eight different sizes on offer. Reportedly, the ring will be very light and also feature different material finishes.

We’ll keep a close eye on the Galaxy Ring and update you with any developments since this could be an exciting new chapter for the currently small smart ring niche.
