The S24 series introduced Galaxy AI, then Samsung rolled it out to the 2023 flagships – that brought the AI features to some 100 million users. But there’s more, Samsung has now confirmed that it will also update the 2022 flagship devices (phones, foldables and tablets). Here’s the list:

Galaxy AI will arrive as part of the One UI 6.1 update for these devices and will include the full list of features: Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion and AI-Generated Wallpaper.

Samsung says that the rollout will start in early May. As a reminder, the Galaxy AI features will be free to use until the end of 2025. It’s not clear what features will become premium or how much they will cost.

It's official: Galaxy AI is coming to the Galaxy S22 series, Tab S8 tablets and the 2022 foldables

A few days ago a moderator on the Samsung Community Forums in Korea posted that the 2022 devices will get Galaxy AI and that has proven to be correct. The moderator also claimed that some 2021 models will get a limited selection of features – the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 will only receive Circle to Search and Magic Rewrite. That hasn’t been confirmed by an official Samsung press release, though.

I have no proof of it, but I think Bluetooth and location services require more power than the Galaxy AI.
