Very worst phone i have ever seen, i wont suggest this model to anybody, No voice clarity, hanging problem, automatic restart problem, dialing problem.

Well, I received a Google security patch yesterday. 81MB file. It seems to have resolved the pattern unlock bug.

Nokia 1 is a solid well built phone. It's the best value for money EVER.
It's a Nokia. The problems came with the Pie update. Before that everything worked 100% with Oreo. Everything.
If I had money to spare I would buy every single Nokia 1 I could lay my hands on. Running Oreo.
The phone and all it does is a gem. Might be slow to some but it's not supposed to be a flagship.
That's all I have to say.

PV, 15 Nov 2019Attention please! I see some people are complaining that th... moreNo it's not all ok I've two Nokia 1 phones. One on Pie and one on Oreo. Oreo phone stable always. Pie phone not. It's HMD. Get your act together HMD. Damn Pie is OK than something goes faulty again.
Now today pattern unlock is ok...and message sound's are missing. It never stops. Something always going wrong.
WAKE UP HMD!!!!!!!!!

Attention please! I see some people are complaining that the unlock pattern does not work - after updating or something else. It is possible of course... But I am saying this - after the last update the phone is working on 200% better than before - every single thing now is brilliantly fixed. No problem with unlocking or what ever. I am from Bulgaria. So, do not confuse the future buyers of this great simple cheap phone, please! Good luck!

Sayan, 13 Nov 2019Don't use pattern lock ....That's no good. Pattern lock needs to be fixed by HMD. What HMD does not realise is that many people check this thread before buying a Nokia 1.
I vouch for the Nokia 1 being a solid phone. What I don't like is HMD attitude of not fixing the pattern unlock bug.
DO SOMETHING HMD. YOU ARE LOOSING THOUSANDS OF POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.
Just fix the bug already.

Do not buy!
Why? It kills all background processes of third party apps. Sound recorder? Will stop. MacroDroid? No chance. K9 e-mail? "Next poll due 12 hours ago" !!!
This happens even if you exclude those apps from battery optimisation, as recommended.
This phone is absolutely useless.

Battery life is pathetic and the phones upper back body heats up like microwave and feels like it would blast off
Every function from surfing to gaming lags a lot totally fed up
Never buy this price of garbage
Better buy a second hand mi phone then this crap.
