this set has sound leakage . and some time loud speaker automatically gets on when u attend call.
and one disadvantage is that some time u'll be unable to see saved contact ( specially when u forward a message u will be unable to find contact with s)
this is cheep set dont buy it

I can switch off its speaker by pressing loudspeaker button , its volume can in/decrease during call. I used Nokia X1-01 before , but it doesn't support multi language by texting like Nokia 101. Both phones have advantage and disadvantage. However Nokia 101'price is affordable in comparision with other dual sim handset . I (myself) use it for my secondary phone for half year already and I don't want to change to another one yet.

I bought this mobile 2 weeks before in India. Battery comes for 2 days under normal use (normal use means 3 hrs talk time & 3 hours music per day). Loudspeaker sound is good (Very louder). Dual sim function good. Memory card is only used for mp3 songs (We can access memory card only through Music player). There is no file manager so we cant delete mp3 songs (unwanted songs) in Memory card.
MAIN DISADVANTAGE:
This phone has voice leakage problem. During call backside speaker volume is high. So if any one stand near to us they can easily hear our talk. Also in front side speaker the sound is not good enough. So i am just turn the phone and hear the back speaker sound instead of the front speaker.
A basic phone really used for Voice calls but nokia still not doing anything to fix this voice leakage issue.
My simple advice is please go for NOKIA x1-01 instead of this one. NOKIA x1-01 (Dual SIM) just Rs.300 (6 to 7 dollars) more. After my experience please don't go for this mobile.

I bought this handset since Dec. 2011. Its really a good phone with many features such as speaking clock, screening list =black list (for preventing unwanted call), dual sim & dual standby, torch etc. . .this phone is light weight, small and supports multi lingual by writing / receiving sms. But Its loudspeaker turns on sometime by itself while dialling. I can solve this problem by pressing its loudspeaker button for 3 times. Anyway its volume can be adjustable (by using navigation key (turn to righ and left). On the other hand its sound quality & signal strengh is very good ( but sometime it depends on the coverage area of the network) . I think that this hanset is not perfect (100%) ,but it is worth for its price range & its really excellent to be a secondary phone at present. Thanks to Nokia .

I'm using my phone Nokia 101 more than 2 weeks, and I don't really like it that much. Unlike other nokia phones like N1616 it is user friendly and the battery is not drained faster. But still good :)

Why Nokia cheating the consumers in dual sim mobiles. In nokia-101, if we receive a call for one sim, automatically the second sim losing its signal. What is the of having dual sim then. such a big brand why doing so? One of the worst piece that nokia ever launched.

Hello all GSMARENA users I've had this phone about six months, This phone has some issues that I think mention here for other people who want to buy it.
1- Battery backup is poor it lasts two days in normal usage.
2- sometimes when phone rings it automatically goes to speaker phone mode or sometimes voice inside handset microphone is very loud.
3- Display performance under the sunlight is very poor.
4- When I reply a text after sending text the menu still stays at same place.
5- Themes are not so good and after months it looks dismal.

Overall phone is quiet good but the thing is that when the bettry comes to full charging it automatically shows " NOT CHARGING" plz help me to sought out this problem. Thank You !!
