to bosjet... yes it has voice volume control. when ure calling just press left to lower voice. right to higher the voice call..
im just experiencing signal loss(no simcard) on sim1. i dont know why. but very occasional,. at first i think the simcard is the problem but i changed the sim but still i get no sim card on the sim1. but this day i dont encounter that problem. i have this phone 4days now. 1 No simcard display on sim1 for 3 consecutive days..
but for newbies like signal dropping they said. i think they dont know that this phone is not dual active. but dual stand by.
when ure gonna call using the sim#1 the signal on sim#2 will drop to zero because this is not dual active--- after ur call then the signal on sim#2 will be back...

Thank you for the reviews. I'd like to ask how is the call reception. In the X101 I had trouble in hearing voice calls. It was very soft I could hardly hear it. to my surprise there was no volume key and when i check the manual it doesnt say anything about the adjusting the volume.
Can you give us further information about call volume/adjustments fo rthe Nokia 101?

This shares the same os as the x1-01 expect some signal loss on either sim.

I have experienced a couple of restarts I hope it's not that frequent or else I'll have this serviced.
I think 101 is similar to the X1-01 or perhaps it's a repackaged X1-01 because during the demo mode the control keys shown are that of the x1-01. The speaker sound is good even at the lowest volume.

What about the dual-sim functionality?

Yes the mp3 player is ok. It doesn't have a USB port though so you have to remove the microsd card every time you need to update your playlist.

I got this phone last 25th of September for Php 1,500. Nokia store sells this Php 1,550 but I got discouraged to buy there when I saw a customer complaining. I got mine from another store that sells Php 1,430 cash but got it at the regular price of Php 1,500 since I charged it to my credit card.
Likes :
- Lighter than my 1202 / 1280
- Good sound quality but haven't tested it for calls
- Comes with earphones
- Nice keypad - a texter's phone
- Spreadsheet
Dislikes :
- After sending SMS it goes back to the main menu. I like it to remain on the editor.
- The Inbox doesn't have a message number or how many messages are in the inbox. Same with the Sent folder
- Scroll indicator for the Inbox folder is barely visible
- BL-5CB.
- 2 colors only. Cannot swap with Nokia 100's front housing because of the memory card slot. will wait for 3rd party makers for different colors.
These are just my first impressions and will still have to do other test like voice leakage and the dual sim capabilities. I will post more of my comments.

There is no dedicate MP3 player keys like X1-00,X1-01, but use number key for play/forward/backward also works fine for me. You have shuffle, you have repeat, and you have favorite songs funciton in the player, that suits all my need. But need to remind, you need have ways to load MP3 into SD card to play in 101, 101 itself don't have data connection and can't delete or move MP3. Sound quality is good and speaker loudness is pretty ok too.

please guys dont buy this phone...its having a fact0ry fault that the loudspeaker automatically gets on when u dail or receive any call..x1.01 is way better then this hell...i have replaced my cell using warranty but that phone also have this problem(FACTORY PROBLEM IN EVERY SET)

very basic phone.. but i dont believe that battery used to last about 1week maybe he doesnt texts or call. just standby maybe it will last for about 1week..

It is a portable nice phone that i ever seen made from nokia so far. I just got d phone recently, i love it. Nokia make days with this phone.
