whata set is thz i also bought thz set from my relative and its stiill working perfectly, instead of that it was 3 zbove years old,pleasure to using thz,nokia is the best among all.

People seem to have strong misconceptions about Nokia quality & durability. My 1112 (about 3 years old) is used as a secondary phone. It was faulty right out of the box. Repaired in warranty 3 times, but still Nokia refused to replace it, come what may. And repaired phones are not quite the same... Few months ago the microphone also had to be replaced. Now it is again giving problems. Battery back up which was just decent earlier (not great), has now almost given up. New original battery costs around Rs. 400 which is a joke, given the price of the phone.
On the other hand I also have a Motorola which was bought around the same time and has never needed any repairs. Decline in battery back up time is barely 20% or so. Besides that I also have an LG which is like 6 years old, has never needed any repairs either and the battery still gives pretty decent back up!! :o
On the +ve side, the keypad is really great for fast texting & luv the options like scheduled SMS. However the keypad seems to have started cracking up from the corners now.
Overall, Nokia quality which was v good earlier, has declined big time. A lot of my friends have several issues with their recent Nokia phones.

This phone is indestructible... It had fallen a gazillion times yet it still continues to soldier on. But water is a different matter.
Had recently relegated it to a secondary phone.

try removing and reinserting the sim - check theres no debris in the slot.
failing that try a different sim - check your sim isnt faulty.
