this phone is really strong. i smashed it, put approx 100 kgs of pressure on it. diped it in a swimming pool, neglect usage and it still works. no problems. it even made a dent on the wall.

Best simple entry-level GSM phone I have tried. Call screening feature, flashlight, speakerphone, etc., all make up for no bluetooth and camera. Does what a cellphone should do.....period.

Kris, 02 Mar 2009I would like to know when a new basic phone will be coming... moreI agree whole heartedly with you about the size of the screen and buttons. I've been using a Nokia 3595 which I bought brand new from a seller on ebay with extra accessories for about $40.00 and it has been working flawlessly for two years now. After having it a while I decided to buy another one from him to have as a backup. There are sellers on ebay selling older model Nokia GSM cellphones such as the 6340i and 6310i they are both, basic but easy to use and see everything with they're big screens. One problem that may bother you is Nokia may not honor the warranty on these phones. The warranty went out on mine some months back and I never had to use it. My 3595 is still going strong.

I am using it currently as second handphone. Very satisfied and very stable. Battery lasts long too. Just wondering, when will major brands make MP3 ringtone and card slot as standard feature for all their models?
