Nice phone, having since last week. This phone seemed good fit for my requirements:
- Low cost
- Basic features (not striped down version i.e. in Motorola F3 there is no out box for messages)
- Good reception at interior places in building
- White back light (could be color but not yellow).
Don’t expect much and don’t try to compare with high end phones. It makes/receives calls sends/receives SMS.
Screen seems large however active area is really small (3 lines of SMS could fit). Flash light is powerful and nice utility. Phone restarted couple of times when I was trying to configure Profiles, no other complaints so far.
Pros: Great reception, lightweight, Calendar, Multiple phone books, Flash light.
Cons: Lacks multiple alarms, reminders can not be copied, 3 pin charger is big.
I paid Rs 1825 (India).

good announcement made by nokia. i think they are doing well by manufacturing these low end phones because just a simple phone get more popularity in the third world countries.
and those who are seeking cameras and bluetooths can checkout N series and E series.
keep it up nokia

Good on you Nokia for keeping a super simple handset on the market that is not hard to use... like the dodgy F3

This phone has been noted on the official Nokia website to be dust and splash resistant. This is a typical tradesmans phone with very little features and tradesmen rarely care about the appearance or features such as camera, bluetooth or internal memory. So don't complain about the phone unless you have fully researched it, because for it's target market it is a simply brilliant phone that is serving its general purpose.

I think this phone looks great! Rugged, industrial, reliable and no- nonsense. Im sick of the fashionable slippery slimline phones where you need a toothpick to press the buttons. Solid and simple is the way to go.

all you people complaining about nokia's idea of making these entry-level phones, get this: NOT EVERYONE wants the same shoes, NOT EVERYONE wants a 10MP camera, NOT EVERYONE wants a BMW, and NOT EVERYONE wants an iPhone. so stop complaining and if you are after TOY cellphones with mp3 and camera and bluetooth and all that then get out of here and go to the N-series forums where your comments would rather be appreciated!

People please for GOD's sake don't complain about this phone.
We all know it has a very small screen, only 4 mb memory etc, etc.. But why the hell are you people complaining. This is just a basic cheaply priced phone. It's for only two categories of people,
1) People who have a vry small budget for a mobile phone.
2) People who would just use the phone mainly for making & rec'in calls & maybe at times sending a few sms... Tatz It.. Nothing More Than That.
So people if you want to complain about itz features, then instead of giving ur opinions here, go check out the N Series or other mid/high end phones, I am sure your opinions would be highly appreciated there.
Cheers!!

I think Nokia is continuing the 8210 in a new form, so 1208 was launched !! However, hope can preserved traditional ring ring tone and don't just only has ascending volume setting if volume set is more than level 2.......
