are they really gonna launch this phone??? i think, its just pre launched (just showing the model to the media), not yet available in the market... 5 1/2 months over after announcement of this model... i mailed nokia several times about the delay and launch date... here is the reply from them->> thanks for mailing nokia... plz refer the website for further information...

Oh my im so xited to buy this phone.. :l.. cmon nokia u cud have made a larger screen mobile with da same cost.. considering the profit the company is making 1280 is no different than the past lowest end mobiles we have seen..
if china can make cheap fones for less money why cant nokia!!!

How come the voting result of Performance is 8.5 ? this phone has not been released yet ? The people who voted depends on what criteria ?

As I also have Nokia 1202 now. if base on the gallery photo of 1202, I guess most likely this Nokia 1280 also have voice leakage problem since I see from the photo, there is sound out is also at the top of the phone and it is very much like the design of Nokia 1202. i.e. ringer, earpiece and voice speaker also come out from same place............

That is the... moreAnonymous, I have yet to see this in person, but, if you look closely at the pictures of this phone on Nokia website, and elsewhere, you'll notice that it has speaker opening at back side of this phone... IMHO this set would have voice leakage problem (though I sincerely hope not!)... because in the plastic containers that are our mobiles, you put a hole elsewhere, and voice has to leak! Its by normal doppler laws I guess.

This phone looks very well designed but if there is voicer leakage from it then its not worth buying.

Nokia has not made a great basic phone since the nokia 1110i , nokia 1112 and the nokia 1600 which i use. The keypads on these phones are excellent, good sized buttons and very comfortable.

Nokia 1200, 1202, 1208, 1209, 1650, 1661 etc are of a very poor quality and not worth buying.....

Still waiting for this... 1202 has been on sale meaning they're disposing this model because a new one is coming but when????
