I am using this handset from last 6 years, it slipped many times from my hands but no harm to it, its still wrking as usual, i have one nokia 5230 cel but i love using 1600, just in love with it for its usability. thanx Nokia!

I have using this cell since 5 years. I like fast messaging. Overall its a basic cell and it fulfills may needs. Great cell I have ever used.

waht a handser is this.i used this one for 9 months only but i love it till date .i gave my this handset to my girlfriend as her b'day gift.she thanks me alot.

Agree, good phone. I've had it for about five years. But now in hurricane territory and am looking for a car charger (cigarette lighter outlet) and can't find one that will fit. Stores (amaxon) have sent 3, and all the connector pins are too small.
Anyone have ideas - cheap and decent car charger for 1600?

Im still using my wonderful Nokia 1600 for 4 years now and it never lets me down.
It has a lovely comfortable keypad and
loud ringtones/message alerts which is very important to me..
It is so easy to use; writing and sending messages are an absolute dream. Menus are clear and easy to understand.. Its a quality basic phone which nokia used to EXCEL at making!
*These days basic nokia phones are very poor*
Notice the keypads on some of them and you will find you need to have baby fingers to push the buttons and also they are made from a cheap plastic material..
Q. Why cant nokia make a good basic phone today such as this one? Surely it cant be that difficult?
Nokia, you need to raise your game!!!

Im using this fone from last 4 years its beat 4G mobiles....!!

Fell from second storey at least 5 times still works superbly..
one black line is there at the bottom...

This is the most durable phone I've ever had in my life. It may not have the world of features, but it can take a lot of roughing up and still function well unlike the more modern phones. I've been using one for the last 8years without a complaint. This was one of the best phones ever created by nokia. congrats
