it might not be fancy, but it works, its small, receptions good, practically indestructable (i've accidentally swam with mine for 10 minutes, got out, took it apart and shook water off, put it together and turned it on, worked perfectly. and its basically free

Fricking fantsastic. I have a busy student life, and in my first year I went trhough 8-9 phones. I then bought this cheap model so if I lost it then so be it. 2 years on I still have it and it still works perfectly, ok albeit a bit scratched but the battery will still last me 3 days. Its a phone, buy a camera and an mp3 player if you want the rest of the stuff.

good enuf for normal use.....nothing new..had it 2006, work abuse phone and it held up through rain,snow,heat and london concrete hahahaha...now we have newer phones.

The latest version of this phone still has the software bug regarding the Sent Items where some messages remain in "pending" status even when they were in fact already sent. Once your Sent Items folder becomes filled with these "pending" items, you have no choice but to MANUALLY delete them one by one or you wouldn't be able to send any more text messages--a bug which has been around for over a year since firmware version 5.00 and was ported to the newer 1xxx series including the 1208/1209/1650 and the 2310. In spite of all the customer complaints, Nokia never fixed it.

The message settings are usually sent by your oporator/ network providor.
Nokia do not support this phone as settings differ from network to network. Best thing i advise is to call your sirtime providor.

I think the phone is great. It's a simple phone. It has a great battery life and good signal. All the basic features are there and I think it's perfect. I don't need all those extras.
