I think the phone is great. It's a simple phone. It has a great battery life and good signal. All the basic features are there and I think it's perfect. I don't need all those extras.

I hav nokia 1600 with Uphone sim .There is error in its satting . Message is not being send . pleas if u can help in any way I shell b very thank ful to u

I don't understand all the posts on low ring volume. Maybe old ones? Mine is new last week and is the loudest phone I have ever had, loudspeaker and ring and alarm, it actually will get you up, guaranteed.
I came from a long line of cell phones from the brick in 1985, to the Sony 900, a Treo 600 and my latest disappointment, the Ipac with Verizon (I now only use it only as my huge contact database as a PDA, as it syncs with Outlook on my computers) as well as over a dozen in between. They nearly all had more features, most were total garbage, didn't work well as a phone, buttons you can't operate well (like my Ipac), they crashed frequently and were slower than molasses, etc. I had my fill of bum technology that is not yet perfected. "The next model will be a good one with the bugs worked out" is never true, it is just as chock full of more new technology that is still not perfected and no good still. Voice calling that does not work, GPS that you need to have lunch while it figures it out, and Internet that takes the rest of the day to download.
I just wanted a phone that works well as a phone thank you. My underwater stylus 1030 digital camera is great for REAL photos and REAL movies, and my laptop works for all the rest very well. I could not be any happier now with this phone and service provider.

great basic no frills phone. Just what I wanted. Does anyone know how to set your area code so you don't have to enter it when you add numbers? This phone is free with consumer cellular with no contract and a 10$ a month plan, up to 1600 minuets for only $60 bucks and 400 for $30 a month. I love there service and the low cost.

Nah, this phone does not have any USB or MP3 stuff. It's a basic phone with basic features.
People mentioned the ring volume. The 1st ring is always quiet for somereason, but then every other ring after that is pretty loud.
To the dude below. I think the limit is 25meters. I don't think this phone can fly any higher than that.
This a good phone - if you are just wanting a basic phone. It last a long time & is very easy to use.

My own has both rapid roll and soccer league. I love it, but I want another phone- on with the same features and more- an upgrade so to speak

will depend on where the unit is made. some versions have rapid roll while others have mobile soccer.

this is the strongest phone i know sometimes i drop it on purpose just to show my friends how strong it is. most phones when they fall everything comes apart but this phone stays 2gether and does not turn off. i drop it from high heights just 2 c if it will still work and because its so cheap i dont care if it breaks.the current record is 20 meters

you don't see the name of the caller because you have DUPLICATE entries for the same number. delete the duplicate, that's it.

I want to know about why the sms messages come with the numbers and not the names when they are in my phone?
And why cant i get predictive text on my default languge English and otehrs yes.

Hi, all, please help !!
I have the following issue with my Nokia 1600. When receiving an incoming call, I only get the number on my screen even though I have that number and the corresponding name in my phonebook already memorized. I want to have the name on the screen rather than the number !! Can you please help me and tell me what is the setting I should change or what to do ??!! Thanks

hi, when i activated a number to the screen list. How do i de-activate it?? the particular number does not have a ringing tone anymore. tried all options including change of name and adding digits to number too.pls help!

the nokia ringtone is not loud enough, but i dont miss the calls because of the vibration. I kept my sms ringtone at standard, that works fine for me
