im using this phone, i just bought it two days ago and this phone is good . worth buying if you want to buy a cheap phone . this is the best 100 ringgit phone thats in the market . the games are alright theres bounce . the flashlight is strong . i have about 40 to 50 messages and its not slow (so far) . i dont know if it will be slow in the future . has callender, most rm 100 phones dont have callenders . this phone has a spreadsheet, converter, calculator, etc . the only downside is the keypad, its not that easy to type but it isn't hard to type either . if your budget is low or want to use a cheap second phone id deffenetely recommend the nokia 1616 . speaking out of experience .

I got a chance to look at this phone (while it was off). Here is what I think:
1) Its keypad is not easy to press, and in some cases, you need to press it using your thumb nails - very irritating
2) Plastic quality looks very cheap - its almost as if its hard to stay intact
3) If you're looking for cheap and basic phone functionality, better buy 1209 (its pretty nice)
4) If you want bigger screen, buy expensive one (with more functionality, if you desire)
5) I had my eyes set on this one for a long time; but now that I've got chance to look it, I'm strictly against it
6) Buy anything better, but DONT buy this one - you've been warned!

I've heard software of 1616 is very slow.
1) Is this true?
1a) Is it slow for navigation?
1b) Is it slow for writing SMS?

Can plz someone tell me about my last question? i.e. if I stick something from the inside of the back cover to prevent voice leakage, then, would this work? Would voice quality suffer?
Plz reply to my question... if I can know answer to this, I'll go to shop and get one for myself..

there isn't any problems with the volume leakage.you can increase volume by adjusting right button.But i'm really disapointed of the battery.only 3days normal usage.
I've used nokia 1661 before so T think nokia 1661 is a better choice.

excellent little phone from nokia..nice simple lcd..menus are self explanatory (if your a long time nokia user)..plus the price is very cheap..excellent back up phone..

I think if I place some barrier (like tape or something similar) at back of phone from inside (i.e. after taking the cover off and sticking it from inside of cover), this voice leak from back problem can be fixed for good? Anyone tried this..? If yes, then, what is the result and the overall sound quality? Thanks...

if it has voice leakage from back side, I think that's the only negative point in it. Otherwise, it's a good phone for the price.
So, can some one tell me exactly _how_ much is the voice leakage from back a problem? Like, if I'm talking to someone, would people around me be listening to the whole conversation as well? Well I wouldn't like _that_.
I was (still am) really eager to buy this phone, until I heard about the voice leakage problem. So if anyone can clearify this issue, I'd appreciate it.
