Nokia recent lowend phone (1200, 1208, 1650) comes with very bad keypad. This will make bad reputation to nokia. And most nokia user are low end minded.

Just found out that after you save the number and name on the phone book.
You can’t edit on the name, you only allow to edit on the phone number. Very inconvenience.

Its a good 2nd phone for someone who just needs a phone set to stay connected.
Looks: Very good and seems one of the expensive phones to an unrecognizing eye.
Display and Screen size: 5 STARS! For a phone of this category and price, its superb.
Colour combination: (in black and off white scheme) very nice
Battery Life: Quite Impressive
Themes: Very good and contemporary
Torch: A good bonus
Sound Clarity: Better than my other phone (D600)
Extra features: Surprisingly many and quite useful
Radio: A good one, good reception.
But ... having said all that:
KEYPAD: Frustratingly hard and extremely user UNfriendly. Maybe for fingers half the normal adult size, even someone from MARS wont be happy with the keypad. For the 1st many days, i failed to dial a phone number using the keypad correctly without having to erase and rewrite as the keys are very narrowly placed and they have to be pressed at 90 degrees.
RING TONE VOLUME: Good if you are in a library :), and quite low in a public place (though the vibrator tries hard to make you aware of the call)
But, for the price and features (if you could ignore the keypad at least ... its a very good bargain!

allover 1650 is a bad phone within its price. Nokia is destroying its goodwill by making this kind of low quality handset. Nokia should better than this..........

I just got this phone from O2 at Mediamarkt for 29 EUROS complete with a prepaid sim card with free incoming calls and 3 months of free outgoing calls within the same network!!! muahaha.. this phone feels durable and has excellent battery life and slim enough to even wear it in my socks! my version comes with Sudoku too as it's not listed in the specs above.

Overall is a nice phone, the only trouble is that the * & # keypad is hard to press. and the ring tone is not loud enough.

I have been using Nokia 1650 for about a month and here are my feedback:
Pros:
1. Decent battery backup.
2. Screen size is large compared to other phones in this range.
3. Games are decent.
4. many Indian regional language options.
Cons:
1. FM volume is apalling. This is the worst FM sound one may have. Also, the reception of FM is not good and it is noisy.
2. Ringtone is very low. You are bound to miss calls while travelling.
3. Display options are not good. Although there are quite a few themes but they are not good enough.
4. If the keypad is locked the powersaver clock is practically invisible. It is better if you do not have the keys locked, but worse than the old basics of Nokia.
5. When the phone is locked and you have call summary option turned on, you have to unlock to remove the summary every time. This works fine for the other old basics of Nokia.
6. Taking a call with the headset is not possible with this. The sound is inaudible under normal circumstances.
Suggestion to Nokia!!!
Get the basics work the characteristic of Nokia we know of. If for features the price has to be a bit higher we would be happy to pay. Although 1650 is cheap but even then it is a cheating as a bad phone is worth nothing.

I definitely agree with other peoples comments about this phone. The ringtones are not loud enough and the keypad is rubbish just like the nokia 1200 and the nokia 1208. Nokia are not making good basic phones anymore. You would be much wiser buying a nokia 1600 instead as the keypad is comfy and the ringtones are louder. Some of the polyphonic tones are naff. No ring-ring ringtone. Nokias previous basic phones like the 3410, 3510, 1100 and 1101 are miles better than this rubbish ! At least you heard them ring outdoors and in busy traffic. Also the 3410 and 3510 were great for texting but nokia thinks that peoples fingers are growing smaller. A comfy wide keypad and loud ringtones are ESSENTIAL ! COME ON NOKIA, YOU CAN DO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS !!!
