This is the not a great phone by nokia. For the worth of the money paid, its gr8 bundle of features. but features are not neat. looks very kiddish & stupid. Also it looked very good in websites but not so beautiful in reality. (dont go by looks alone)
PROS: 1) Battery backup, they say 8Hrs (talk) and 17days(standby), I am yet to use& observe it. 2)Torch- though not that powerful, its good additional feature. 3)FM- a plus for a low cost phone 4)Kannada/local language. i appreciate the effort by nokia.
CONS : Many! To mention few, 1) LOW RING VOLUME.- most of built in tones are not so audible even at max level5. not at all suitable for people who spend more time on traffic/outdoors. Polyphonic ringtones quality is bad as well. 2)Speaker phone clarity is not impressive. 3)FM quality is very low when compared to other FMphones by nokia. Also i couldnot make Autotuning work!. anybody pls let me know how to use it?
Bottomline : For the worth of such low cost, its gr8 bundle of feature. But Nokia should focus on the quality of features instead of providing lot of stupid features which an entry level user will not generally look for.

10 days is all it took to sell this phone off..really dont fall for the facts on the battery back up n all..only good thing is a good tourch n it doesnt serve the main purpose of a phone at all...i had only a talktime of 3 hrs only claimed is 6 hrs + unfortunately i didnt see it.....KEY PAD IS BAD CANT DAIL NOS FORGET TEXTIN...screen is bad...lacks the resolution.... radio clarity is so so ....built in handfree is also so so....with head phones on u cant hear radio nor the person talkin on the other end ..unless u r sittin in a place were ter is absolutely a pin drop silent ...if not hope u hav ears of a hunter...... it is ofcourse cheap dirt cheap but it is really CHEAP dont buy it.

not so cool phone, but impressive battery back-up.what else do i need more than a long lasting battery back-up..i mean phones are to talk more and more right!!!

Nokia 1650 is very good phone, but its ringtone is not installed because its software is not available at that time in market. pls send ringtone ko kaise install karu, pls send

i buy this pon 2 weeks ago
and im very disapointed with the keypad.
you can not txt as fast as nokia 1600
coz of its keypad is hard to press.
heres my opinion to nokia if they make next version of this phone.
1.first the keypad it should be soft.
2.dislay size is ok,but need more pixels
240x320 pixels qvga tft display
3.icon are clear
4.sound volume litle bit loud
5.features ok
6.battery need more life
standby time should up
also talk time

very bad keypad,hard.
features okey for a basic phone.
1600 keypad is good
better next time if nokia making a phone
in this category.
they should consider the keypad how it work.

THIS phone is full worth of money. battry life incompareble and maximum among all nokia family. but it has one small disadvantage keypad is hard, and typing is bit slow bt this is also ovrcmd by regular use of phone. best in its category bst buy. one shld go 4 this instead of 1110i, 1112 and similar stuff.

Hi All, I bought this phone yesterday--and I feel its perfect for the price I paid for it. Very useful for working professionals such as myself--as the office does not allow camera phones (data security) :)
Positives:
1) Inexpensive
2) Bigger screen than other phones in this range
3) Useful features--stopwatch, timer, budget spreadsheet, converter
4) Nice ringtones, color-schemes, screensavers and themes
5) Powerful flashlight
6) excellent battery life
Negatives:
1) Radio volume is low--speaker volume is low as well
2) 8MB shared memory--for what?
3) No way to check memory status of phonebook and sms
4) Low SMS memory (750 would've been decent)
5) Texting is a bit cumbersome due to slightly cramped keypad
6) Lack of GPRS/WAP
7) Multiple alarms cannot be set
Final word: This handset is for people who are looking to invest in a color phone just for the purpose of making/receiving calls and SMS. Lack of GPRS is felt--hope Nokia adds this feature in future versions. Ergonomics look fine and the phone fits nicely into one's pockets. Interface is easy to navigate and use as well.
Personally, I prefer this phone as it is the best non-camera phone available with a decent price-tag. Most IT and ITES companies have restrictions with regard to camera phones, and hence Nokia would find demand coming from people working in this sector.
