The port on the side isn´t for data transfer. It´s for SW updating at the service points.

This phone is realy an ossam one...i realy like it..i am using it...no 1 can say its a cheap phone according to looks...
it only contains 1 prob. of low ringing vol..otherwise its more than good......

I have the Nokia 1661. What is the strange port in between the phone plug and the ear piece plug? It looks like some kind of data transfer. It would be really nice if i could get something more on this phone.

the display (time, number of messages, etc) is hard to see when its on the standy mode (keypad locked, no backlight). Just its weird having that display which is not visible when light turns off.

The display is excellent. The extras like spreadsheet are very good features. The flash light is so good and bright. It's worth for the money

I bought this phone as a temporary replacement while my iPhone is being repaired.
I think it's fatastic value for money as it has evreything you'd need in a phone, just without the extras.
I find it easy to text with, the battery life is great and I haven't noticed much of a problem with the ringtone volume when it's in the LOUD profile!
Overall, I recommend it to anyone who wants a phone purely for texting/calling and doesn't mind about extra gadgets.

in this i founnd there is no single language key buttons in this model onle having double language buttons it was some difficulty to use

The phone is excellent with spreadsheet, flash light, Radio, Sleek, Good Battery long lasts more than 4 to 5 days. In short excellent phone.
