fabulas it is very slim so i bought it ans i like listining radio so it has good radio voice so should be bought and it is cute..........

had a contract phone which i lost on a drunken taxi trip had to resort to cheap but usefull phone and this is what i ended up with , since then there have bein many drunken taxi trips and this phone remains glued to my side , its not a great phone to pull out to try get a girls number but its good when ur close lights are off and u can whip out a torch lol , kind of creepy but very usefull to us drunken lot .

nokia 1661 was my first hanset which i have bring form the nokia gallery when i was only 16yrs old the batery life of the hanset was excellent and i only pefereed to use it for listening radio , many time this hansetwas fall form my gallery , but in was as new as i have broot so is the best hanset i thing so iwill give 100% vote as compared to my newhanset which is N97 cool hanset

Something really strange happened to my phone. I lost it somewhere and tried to call it from my house phone and some stranger answered at first I thought I had done the wrong number but when I made sure it was the right number the same guy answered. I dont know WHAAT TO DO!

Have been using this fone since past 9-10 months. For the price i paid, its a good fone. Bought it for Rs 1550/-. It has a usable torch, good call quality, very rough and tough piece. Wat could be better is its ringer volume, which is extremely low. As a basic fone, would recommend to everyone. Why use a secondhand, if u can buy a good first hand one. Yeah, one in a while its shuts, but rebooting solve the problem. I will give it 4 out of 5 stars. Dont expect everything, but will do its job well.

Have the radio built in the Nokia 1661 the Radio Data System (RDS)?. My unit always ask me for write manually the station name, and get the name of the radio stations "automatically" is one of the main features of the RDS...

if it seems to be nokia is best cellular company but now a days we are facing problem in your new cell phones especially in

the voice is not coming clearly in the real front speaker but its coming loud from the back speaker and talking privacy is distrubed..
so please check that problem out..

Never ever buy this phone, NEVER take it even for free. I had two within last 5 month, both purchased new, in sealed box. I bought first one in August and in December it locked up, erased settings and when you try to adjust the volume phone shuts of, erases settings and restarts asking for code (12345). Volume stays at min low, phone calls don't produce sound. I thought maybe cheap phone went bad and bought another one a month ago. 2 days ago same exact thing happened to a new one. I was not demanding at all, buttons quality, absence of camera etc. was fine with me for $20 I paid for this phone, I only wanted it as a phone, not even for texting. NOKIA SHOULD NOT EXIST AS A COMPANY, there are plenty Samsungs, Motorolas etc.

I got this phone second hand as a temporary measure when I accidentally dropped and broke my (truly amazing) SE K800i.
This phone only wins on price and is hopelessly basic. There is no camera, no data connectivity of any kind let alone 3G (yes, there is no obvious way to connect it to your PC even for flashing or unlocking purposes) and it doesn't even look that good. However, it does come with a headset and you can get FM radio but there is no RDS or autotune.
SMS is a bit hit and miss, which is a shame because Nokia used to be market leaders in that regard. Nokia's legendary T9 implementation is gone, replaced by a clunky mess which is slow and keeps guessing the wrong words and to just send a text you have to go through about four different menus (type your message, type in the number/search phonebook, actually try to send the message and cross your fingers). Following this, you may or may not get the Message Sent notification and I've had problems with texts taking up to two hours to arrive when sent to me. Mine is unlocked and I've tested it on Orange UK and Vodafone UK and the same problem is noted on both networks. There was never any delay on my K800i using the same SIM card.
However, call quality is fine as is the battery life. With moderate use I can get four days out of the battery.
I wouldn't recommend buying this phone at full price as, quite frankly, you can buy a better phone second hand for not that much more money. This phone isn't worth it and Nokia themselves have other budget handsets which look much better and have way more features.
This phone is aimed at "developing markets" which makes it so surprising that it's even on sale in the UK.

this is very cute cell but one thing is not satisfied that there is no mem.card option and camera is also not there.but its ok not neccessary of cam..but if card option is there means it is useful while travelling time...

Well, I've had this phone since June 2009 and it has restarted only once, the battery still remain strong after 2 days....worth buying for only Taka 2900 but the main disadvantage of this phone is sound quality is poor and the amount of light the torch provides is not sufficient.
