Nokia 2 I found was a terrible phone most apps would struggle and put up a error screen, the lag on FB was so bad I downloaded FB Lite it ran somewhat better but you don't have as many features on the lite version. Don't get me wrong its a beautifully crafted handset but its a real disappointment in terms of usability in 2019, I will add I used it when first came out so no updates so I am unsure if it got better with updates maybe someone could let me know..

dummy, 21 Jan 2019Why would Fat32 be buggy? It was perfectly fine in the past... moreFlexense has made a rather exetensive performance comparison between FAT32, exFAT and NTFS. You can google it. It's not a marginal difference. Slow storage is frustrating, especially when we're talking about 128GB worth of data.
Add to that the massive waste of storage you get with FAT32 on such a big drive. The way FAT32 "works" on something like a 128GB drive is by making each minimum usable section bigger. Every chunk of those sections you yo dont use for the file starting it will be wasted. For every single file of the tens of thousands of files you might end up having.

AnonD-762416, 15 Jan 2019exFAT is the only right file system for large cards. FAT32 ... moreWhy would Fat32 be buggy? It was perfectly fine in the past and that hasn't changed. Granted, it has limitations and doesn't support features that some people nowadays would like to have. But its ultimate killer feature is that it simply works, almost everywhere! Just stick to files smaller than 2GB, keep your filenames reasonably short and unique without special characters; no problems.
ExFat has caused me nothing but pain. Windows, MacOs and Linux seem to have put slightly different spin on ExFat. Once your ExFat hard-disk or microSD gets in contact with multiple systems, there is a very good chance that it'll become corrupted, quickly. Then there is the thing with paying license fees to Microsoft. Some manufacturers don't want to pay additional fees and hence their devices (smartphones, cameras, music players, radios, TVs, etc.) don't support ExFat.
If you need to store large 4GB+ files, go for ExFat, otherwise save yourself the trouble and stick to Fat32.

zzrob, 15 Jan 2019You need to format the SD card in Fat32. Widows won't do it... moreexFAT is the only right file system for large cards. FAT32 is too buggy and has all sorts of file size limitations and performance issues.

AnonD-762416, 08 Nov 2018Got this as a secondary phone as my primary has to go in fo... moreYou need to format the SD card in Fat32. Widows won't do it, but Aomei will. NEVER use ExFat for phones. I did that and you can't clone it. Microsoft had a good idea, but it never fully caught on with everyone that you need to support it. Fat32 is the way to go and your phone will recognize 64 and 128GB SD cards. You just need to format them with something other than Windows. Don't get caught up in the "why" part. Just ONLY format them with Fat32.

I recently bought this phone whilst in the USA. My main criteria was price. I wanted the cheapest cell phone I could find as I don't have much use for it. I live very remote and any signal is very poor from my house. It is for emergency use only. I have found this phone to be very pleasant to use. It is not lightning fast but it is consistemt and graceful. Android does not come with a music app so I found a freebie with no ads or in-app purchases that works a treat. Using the SD card I now have a huge store of personal music playlists. There are tons of photo galleries in the app store and it's often worth paying just a few pounds (or dollars) to have something that works well without ads. I have now customised the lock and home screen, disabled the apps I will probably never use. I have also disabled Google to stop incessant updates. This phone, though good for my infrequent use, is not for a busy person on-the-go who uses it all day every day for important things. They would need more power, more storage and more memory. I think Nokia could have designed the app icon page a bit better, not much thought went into that, but all in all an average to good phone for the undemanding user.
