I just found this bad boy while I was helping my dad move. Brand new from 1996! I just threw my new toy phone away and started using a classic! It's awesome. People think it's a satellite phone ;] I was surprised you can still buy a battery or an antenna for it (in Poland). A company named FOOF makes 650 and 1100 nimh batteries for it, and i also found new antennas at some electronic store. Anyways, the phone rocks, gets great reception and decent battery life with a new battery. Stay oldschool :)

This is a really nice cellphone, one of the best back in the 90's still it is a very reliable cellphone and really useful...even though the style and other features sucks, you still can send messages, receive it of course and call or receive incoming calls!very reliable i may say...I think this is the first ever cellphone of Nokia Company.

i'v had this phone for 100 years and still counting .i'd definitely recommend this for anybody that needs to buy a new phone.never had any problems wid it

Well, I have this phone with a good condition and fresh battery(new, buy 1 month ago). It's a good phones, with a good signal strengh. Currently I'm in Indonesia using Satelindo(indosat) post-paid Carrier

i'm using this phone until now and damn!!! its the best phone in the world. =) i can use it while im taking a bath. best than iphone =)

as long you call or txt on your phone it doesnt matter whats ur phones model as long your connected to your loves its okay.. thanks nokia for all the cellphones that you invented.

This item is a classic.
Introduced more into cellular world - features and capability - than anything in its time.
The cellular networks were what they were on that time but it could cope with it fairly well, but that costed on battery life.
If I had one in good condition, I would put it in a safe for my grandchildren.
That retractable antenna, so many stories about broken ones :)

this is the very first mobile phone i got in 1995, cant compare to any model because none was released then... mine was retrived by globe telecom and exchanged with 5110... i should have not surrendered it for collection purposes... sayang!
