A lot of youngsters is gunning for this great fone.. Why? Radio!! MY advise is to use the radio on headset mode rather than using the loudspeaker so that the radio will not have fizzle transmission sound.

Personally hate Nokia phones because of their crap menus. Bought this one (of course a grey colour-other colours look ridiculous) because it's cheap, has free head phones (I talk to the phone many hours a week) and because it has no colour screen (want the battery to last no to jerk of with the phone, colours and shit like that). Guess what!Lucky strike... The menu was not the traditional Nokia one, had right scroll key that made the phone comfortable to use just like Panasonic menus (the best to my opinion-poor phone reliability though). Radio comes in handy some times to use. Have a minor problem with the “enter” key, does not respond always at a stroke and sometimes you press it ones and goes off like you’ve hit it twice! I wouldn’t wanna mess with Nokia service department and as long as the key malfunction is infrequent and bearable I’ll stick to it. Phones are not exactly built to last forever (manufacturing policy-fashion items), they’re built to last for 6 months or so. A friend of mine encountered serious software problems with the particular model though. Mine works fine for now. If you don’t pick the faulty one it a GREAT phone to use (…as a phone of course and not as a camera or a multimillion coloured display fancy ring tone player/gaming shit or whatever other ridiculous demands people have from their phones today). Remember that you’re buying a phone…not a laptop!!!

Color fones are prone to using up battery! I don't understand why people spend so much to get a higher resolution color fone?

I bought this phone... and so what if the display is black & white... i don't need colors to make phone calls or send sms, but radio is a really good thing you can't find any other phone with that price.
The pinky phone in the photo really sux... but mine is black and it's ok.
This phone is a good value phone... you know not everybody wants to spend money in a color cellular.

Great HP!! Cheap yet great to bring anywhere n anytime u go. Due to its radio,you just can resist this phone!! Even the expensive 6600 does not have a radio feature. Its slim size does not provide discomfort when placing it inside our pockets, even jean ones. Its 4-way sms navigation provide ease should you need to go up or down when jotting down messages for correcting grammar mistakes, changing words, etc. I strongly recommend this phone for those who is on low budget yet needs some music at the fone such as school or college students! Buy it now or add to to your hp collection. For those choosing to buy the 1100 whose price range is a bit different than this, get this phone instead as it contain more features. No regrets!!

I bought one last April when they first came out, worked for 2 months fine and then it simply stopped. I tried to find a solution but no joy! I went to my local dealer and he couldn’t fix it, saying that this model has a common problem of sometimes hanging or fail to recognize the SMS. He mentioned something about a file missing that must be downloaded from the internet, and I don’t know what it is.
I bought the 6610 which I found it very good and more practical however, I still like the look of 2300 and couldn’t get rid of it!
I wonder if you have any useful information that might help me to fix it. I would appreciate your help.

noika 2300 is on of best noika hand set the the feature of fm station.Infact this the best in the market.But contact service due affect noika set.
pls make the softeware avalabe to us in nigeria the fast gsm growing country.

i think dat dis mobile is gr8 it just sucks how its not colour screen n it also sucks how i find it really hard to get ringtones 4 it, but may b dats just cause i dun no how to use it yet.

Nokias are the coolest cells !

This phone sucks major big time!! It's software is buggy, it would crash and freeze! The centre navigation button has design fault and would jam the menu button. Sometimes when I press the enter button it would jump two pages because the buttons are jammed. I had it serviced once but a few days later the problem came back again. Now I want to throw it out of my window.

my recon is that u peopie need to inproof in product.because the way my customer are praising u peo are mush but there something thier complayning about which i reson with them is about seconds count down there is one area in nig that i want to open an another branch and they have not know about ur prod.try and do someting beter b/4 i go 4 another pro u can mail me because i will needs samples 4 my new branch my name is toppy nokia nig limited bey.
