I have bought this phone today and I am very happy about it. Before buying my phone, I read all the reviews here and find this phone to be worth the price. The only thing that is little lacking is the camera. The picture quality is not very fine but then again at this price I am satisfied with the camera too. The GPRS works fine and I think it also supports Edge technology because a little E appears when you are browsing the web. The browser opera mini is great but it loads the pages directly. That requires more amount of data to be sent and hence costs more. If only it had a browser that was optimized for wap or mobile browsing then it would have transferred less data when using GPRS and hence GPRS would have cost a less. Other features of phone are quite nice. It detected the GPRS and MMS settings from my sim card automatically, which I had to install manually in my previous phone LG KP220. I haven't installed any Java applications yet but I think this phone is going to work fine with them. The ring tone is loud is clear. It has an in built memory of 10 Mb. I recommend this phone to all those people who are concerned about budget. It has got all the features of an advanced phone at a low price.

        To answer some questions:
You can use this phone as a GPRS modem, as PC Suite is supported on this model (as well as Ovi), but have to do so through bluetooth...the usb-lookalike port is a test port and doesn't actually support usb protocol directly. (A hacker might use this, or the flashing port under the battery cover, in conjunction with a 'smart' cable and/or box and the appropriate software, but for the average user this isn't practical.)
Sound quality on calls is superb (as with the others in this series), the speaker has very good, loud and full-bodied sound, and the ringer is loud also (or can be, depending on setting).

Beryl, 06 Apr 2010Please help. Why does the wallpaper of the themes I put on ... moreThe wallpaper must be exactly 128*10 or at least have a 3:4 aspect ratio

Another posible reason for the wallpaper not filling the whole screen is that it actually fits but your current theme has opaque (no traslucency/semi-transparency) thus bocking the lower part of the image.

                        Hope that helps.

Nokia nearly hit the sweet spot with this one in the low-end category. The only glaring omission that keeps it from solidly ranking as the best in the category is the lack of a memory card slot.
It's a solid-feeling, classy-looking phone with enough features to satisfy and the price point is right (on average $60 US, unlocked).
Only cons besides the lack of micro-SD memory (and scant onboard memory) are relatively minor user-friendliness issues like that it doesn't default to numeral mode in the To: field in SMS entry mode, and that the display brightness/backlight time cannot be changed and the latter is too short. Also, the battery door/rear cover is a pain to remove but that is common to all 3 models of this series (2320/2323/2330). Camera isn't the greatest, but to be honest I really don't care much about this feature on a cellphone, I use a digital camera when I need to take quality photos (it's a rare phone indeed, even at a high price point, that can even remotely compare with even a basic digital cam). It does video, and the main reason I would want this capability is for evidence-gathering in case of a crime situation, for which this model's performance is entirely satisfactory.
I should note that the US AT&T version lacks the FM radio and EDGE capability. For some unknown reason they chose to delete or disable these features, however since the hardware is the same, this is easily solvable with a firmware flash, to OEM generic (RM-513 for USA/Canada/Mexico/Central-South America 850/1900 MHz, or RM-512 for Asia/Europe 900/1800 MHz, with removal and jumpering of the TX and RX filters if changing bands).
In summary, this is a keeper and a great every day carry phone. Kudos to Nokia for coming up with the near-perfect affordable mobile.
