In case you don't know, there is something called W-A-R-R-A-N-T-Y.

Yes, that's right, 'warranty'.

If your phone is faulty, take it to where you bought it. Or to a Nokia centre. Anyway, they'll have to solve the problem.

Gaily, you have to go to settings then to profiles, choose any one of them and just take off the ringing alert and make sure the vibrate alert is on, save settings and you're good to go

i own one of those, i love how slim it is - much like a lady's phone. i just added GPRS settings from my moblie company but i haven't quite gotten the hang of it. i like it though, it has quality camera and radio...it's classy and reasonable

Cute phone. But the phone's earpiece sound is not too good..In a not too noisy area, you can't be heard. You have to shout for the person to be heard.

Sam, 01 Aug 2008Worst Phone in Nokia family, Battery drains with in 24 hour... moreYou're wrong, turn T9 off by *holding* down the # key. A menu should appear to turn on/off T9.
And sounds like your're battery is stuffed, RMA it.
Overall this is a good budget offering from Nokia. Buy this for the slim, lightweight design, to be used for sms and calling.

It's not meant to be an MP3/video player so don't whinge about a card slot - if you want one buy the 3110c or 3500c, or even 5000.
Memory is more than adequate for ringtones, VGA pics/backgrounds etc and java games.

A word about java performance - it's not good, don't expect to run 3110c java games coz the 3110c packs far more java punch than this handset - far more. However, that said, it does run Opera Mini 4.1 but don't expect stellar performance - it's there but if you're a heavy user of Opera, please get the 3110c, it's a far more Java capable phone.

The FM radio is also mono - the 2600c is stereo. It also runs a Light version of S40 5th Edition, which doesn't include Active Standby. Shortcuts and Goto work fine though and are useful.

I am running firmware 4.90, dated 14-11-07, RM 298 (*#0000#) which isn't the latest, but runs stable - havn't had any firmware related problems yet. I would suggest if your phone is freezing to take it to a Nokia Care Centre and get the firmware flashed.

There is a USB cable available, albeit 3rd party. I'm not sure if you can use Nokia Firmware Updater with this cable, maybe someone can enlighten us ? I would see that would be it's only use, as transferring files using Bluetooth is a breeze, and the 2630 connects handsomely with a downloaded version of Nokia PC Suite.

The phone has a very stylish look and is very clear. However the battery life is very disppointing. Does not last more than two days.

Sliver of a phone that fits nicely in your shirt pocket. Purchased in China for 700rmb ($100) for use with prepaid China Mobile sim card. Simple, lightweight, bluetooth, and stores photos with contacts. Better alternative to renting a phone for repeat trips.
