battery package is very low in such a way that we cant get even 1 day.
camera clarity is not good.
and thare,s no options for new softwares like google maps etc

Gaurav, 31 Aug 2010Can someone confirm if the pics clicked are good or not?Taking pictures with VGA is not good. There's no model/brand that could take good picture at this price. Add a little more and get a 2MP or higher. Or better buy a digital camera which is 8MP (Canon A495/Nikon L21 at Php5,690.00 @$45.26US then buy a lower end phone for texting and calling.

Screen resolution is poor , poor quality textures ,graphics nd images , but everything else is gud , keeping its rate in mind..Good one for lower middle class..

I purchased Nokia 2690 (Graphite) this month. Initially i tried not to use the phone, i charged the phone for 4 hours (as the nokia salesperson said). Then the phone battery lasted 3.5 days. Well, that's impressive! But, after its third discharge cycle, it lasted only 12 hours.
I went back to the nokia showroom to claim the 6 months warranty on battery. They said that the software of the phone has to be updated. They said to come the next day (as it was almost closing time). I checked the phone and found the firmware version is v10.10, which is the latest version.
But, they said just by reinstalling the same software, this battery problem could be solved.
Lets see! If the battery lasts 2 days standby, then its satisfactory.
The second possible drawback of this phone is the camera. But most the people nowadays go for still camera (casio, sony, canon, etc) which can give clean photos without the noise(discoloration).
The music player is above average. But we should use standard headphones/earphones of premium quality to get the musical sound output.
Radio is fine.
The 8GB memory support is somewhat futuristic for such a entry-level, multimedia phone. In case of emergency we can use the mobile memory as a pen drive. That reminds me of another aspect. If Nokia could provide the data cable along with the phone, it would be useful.
The internet features, i haven't used it, so no comments.
Attractive features
1. it has a 3.5mm audio output
2. memory support of 8GB (microSDHC), but 4GB would suffice.
3. it's price!
4. slim form factor
5. the charger port and audio port is at the top instead at the bottom or at the side. this helps us to use the music player and place it along our shirt pocket, when a call comes we don't have to turn it around to see who's calling.

i have this set..but im not satisfied with its processing..it takes to much time in starting another thing we can't delete more than 25 msgx at a time.so its a mixture of chinees technology...

Wow what a fone...cool...features are amazing...camera is ok...but no problem...overall phone is mindblowing....go for it Nokia lovers!!!

wow! finaly i bought dis cell phone 2nyt, 4 my father. he seems 2 b happy. myself also lyk dis phone so far so gud. i stil wonderin hw cn nokia provide dis type of cell phone at dis cost! i bought dis cell phone at Rs 2670. it has almost everythin. i cn personaly recomend u dis cell phone if u lukin at below Rs 3000. thanx 2 nokia.....
