hi i have buy 2690 on 14/8/10 i am just worry abt memory card i had insert micro sd 512mb on my mobile
but it is not showing any memory card in the phone but in built memory shown 30 mb plz help me

Most Nokia phones don't save the messages back to the inbox or in drafts at all. Because the red hang up key treats it like u didn't want the message. Its not like a Motorola (Razr) that saves the message (in drafts) whether u received a call or pressed the red hang up key. But, I hope I answered your question. I tried :)

SVA, 19 Aug 2010I bought it four days back... nice phone. but the problem ... moreyes there's a reason... u charge the phone for 8 hrs to condition the battery, u charge it for 6-8 hrs for 3 days but NOT overnight for the days and the phone should be completely dead and for after those days are done. Regular charging of the phone should be 2 hrs again NOT overnight.

it is a good phone, this gives 8gb expendable memory, opera mini browser that i think is not very good, moreover one can able to connect it to pc and browse internet through pc suit at 460 kbps with uninor sim.

[deleted post]For li-ion batteries there is no need to charge 8 hrs first time. Your battery backup will improve after a few charging cycles which may take about 10 days.

I bought it four days back... nice phone.
but the problem is battery back up. its not more than one and a half day... my question, is there a need to charge the battery for the first time for 8 hours..?
can anyone answer for this..?
instead it is a very good phone of this price range, with;
-nearly 26MB internal memory.
-bright screen.
-speed is ok ok. not too good.
-msging also the same.
-design is awesome, I like the most.
-headphones and sound quality are descent.
please anyone answer my question please...

Why do they delete my question? It's simple and I'm not breaking any of the rules! I want to know something specific about this phone, anyone can help me? If you go to the write SMS msg window, write something, then quit that window and go to the main window (with the red hang up key). Does it force you to save the message as a draft or erase it, or doesn't ask you anything, and when you go back to the write SMS msg window, the text you wrote before is there?

Classic phone, Samsung has a c3 model in comparison to 2690. I got it for Rs.2,600 a month ago & is working just fine.Battery is excellent, good speakers & good UI...best in the budget.
