Most value-for-money phone for the price I paid! (Rs.2600). Also bought a 2GB microSD to go along with it!
Though one can complain about the low-resolution screen and the somewhat cheap plastic build, It performs reasonably well.
I can browse the web (through EDGE) on the pre-installed Opera Mini 4, Play music (though the lack of equalizer is somewhat irritating), Run .jar files (I can't do without a Dictionary, Pacman, Tetris, Sudoku and a Browser).
The "Email" application (presumably Ovi Email?) provided by default is ah-OK. I could connect and check mail from both my accounts.
If you are the type who just needs a simple "use-and-throw" mobile handset which has some features and can perform decently without burning a hole in your pocket, this is the one to pick.
Seriously, I'm ignoring the drawbacks, This phone is worth every paisa I paid!
Drawbacks if you really want them: no equalizer, bad-ish camera, pixely screen and tendency to slow down when running Java applications.

It is my dream mobile. Thanks to Nokia for providing full facilities on a very less price. Everything what I needed was in this mobile. I strongly recommend it.

i am using this phone it has every thing u want its bettery timing is upto 1 day so dont get confused when buy this phone

just got to c Nokia 2690 a few days back and these r my observations: its a S30 nokia phone
pros:
1. Display resolution is too good 9/10, rivals Samsung's famed brilliant displays.
2. Sound quality playback is 8/10
3. Price 8/10 value for money
4. Nokia life tools trial activation. If learnt properly is a boon for farmer 7/10
5. Build is Nokia solid, u can drop it any number of times safely
Cons:
1. no dual sim support, need this to attract Chinese phone customers 1/10
2. support of Ovi can be like Ovi store application for s30 inbuilt 2/10
3. Ovi maps will look great on this nice display even without GPS 2/10

this is a good mobile device at a cheap price,but this device have some advantage and disadvantage.
Advantage:plays 3gp(up to 640*480)and mp4(up to 240*320),support upto 8gb,video and image quality good,can plays songs through java music players
Disadvantage:camera not good,radio sound quality not good,can't plays wmv videos,battery back up not good.
