I am using Reliance gsm sim card in nokia 3110c. But when i connect to internet after few minutes it is disconnect in every phone.
A msg appeared on the screen
"Packad data connection closed by network".
My friends also facing this problem.
Is anyone face this kind of problem then reply.

Hi, I returned a nokia5530 today as it was faulty and was thinking about getting one of these 2690's as i would be able to use the 8gb micro sdhc card I bought to use with the 5530 in the new phone.
Everywhere I look it just says that the phone takes micro sd - yet the nokia website links to micro sdhc cards in the accessories for this phone.
Anyone using this phone with 8gb sdhc card?

This phone is great! I just wanted a simple phone as I am not very great with technology. It was simple and cheap and now I have a camera wherever I go too! Thanks to www.nokia2690.com for the information.

Nokia 2690 cannot be used as data... moreuse the latest version of nokia pc suite for data modem connections, otherwise the phone wont be recognised by the software. you can also use the latest ovi suite to connect to the internet. download all these from nokia website by selecting the model there

if you want a phone with all the features at the lowest price then its the best one at least its from nokia. the edge is good one. but speaker problems and voice clarity problems are present. update the software to check it.

for modem connection use CA101 cable and get the latest nokia pc suite or update an existing one, it will work. It does supports 8 gb memory card.
