I bought this mobile 2weeks before and my experience is really awesome. It's working very fast with 4 gb microsd, even the micro sd is full of mp3's and mp4 movies I find no problem in file navigation or playing the movies. It is not Hanging , not taking too much time when memory card is full. GPRS with edge is quite fast and very easy to connect to internet using PC.
I have to say this important point, The sound quality through supplied nokia earphone is Sharp, loud, little lack of Bass, and even better than some xpress music phones. Video is running smooth and sharp without any disturbances. Voice recording quality is also good.
Bluetooth is also working fine.
Really Value for Money. Just Rs2800 without memory card and connectivity cable.
My advice : BUy this phone with 8 gb card and use any sony 3.5 mm headphone (for bass lovers) . BUy micro usb cable for pc connectivity. Or buy bluetooth dongle for pc easy connectivity.

I went to buy this phone in KALYAN(mumbai) but the mobile store staff told that its out of stock .
In Mumbai which shopkeeper is selling this mobile at an affordable price around Rs 2700 to 2800.

sometimes in xp or older system device drivers need to be installed. in vista or 7 they automatically get installed.
anyway, install nokia pc suite. also go to settings of 2690, go to connectivity & set usb data cable to data storage mode. this may work. gooodluck

2690 unable to play youtube videos. it lacks flash player. flash lite 3.0 is there but thats only to provide hassle free web browsing (to show flash web content only).

Dr.Manu, 04 May 2010I hv search thrnughly to stay my net cannection till i typi... morenet disconnects only & only when signal are poor. it totally depends upon your service provider. same case happens with me when i use airtel. but with reliance, web browsing is fast & hassle free because reliance tower is just some steps away from my home. so try to use sim card of the service provider whose signals are strongest in your vicinity. vodafone have strongest signal, anywhere in the nagpur city.

Hey i have a problem with the bluetooth . when ever i try to send a music file or a file greater than 1 MB the send % stops at 0% and after a while the connection fails. this happened when i was sending a file to a nokia 5200 touch and a samsung star. also any other mobile. can anyone help?
