what do you want from a VGA camera?
do you want a digital camera like results from that.
if you want better camera, go for high end mobiles.
need not to complaint.

I bought this phone. It is fine as per its rate but some things are bad.
1) Keys are too hard (3 keys are joined)
2) Speaker is on back so when phone is placed on table. sound is not loud.
3) menu keys and left and right program keys are very small.
4) sim card slot is very delicate and may give you injury. It look like cost cutting by Nokia.
5) Over all I would say it seems like Nokia is compromising with quality to provide cheap mobile.

Nokia 2690 is a very nice mobile with an affordable price. But its main drawback is its battery. Previously I was getting mostly 1 day of battery. But after doing following things Im getting 1.5-2 days. Hope this will help u all-
1. Always turn keep Bluetooth off unless necessary
2. Don’t use vibration & keypad tone
3. Keep Light effects off
4. Do not use animation as wallpaper
5. Do not use Transition effects, Notification details
6. Turn off Cell info display off
7. Turn on Automatic Keyguard with 10s
8. Turn off Flight Query
9. Turn off Help text activation
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a way to reduce display brightness which cud help most.

A good mobile with all features, only a thing is that copying the saved item for the same numbers in the left over calls list does not apply. ie. for example if a missed call is called-back and then saved. The name and features are shown in the dialled but does not copy the same in the missed call list. where as in other mobiles, it immediately reflect the name of the person or whatever in the toal call list in the call log.

Dear all
I had purchase nokia 2690 15 day ago.
I used all function of this phone.
I want give some good and bad factor for the same.
Good factor.
1.) This phone is good looking and very low weight.
2.) Opera mini (internet browsing is fast.)
3.) Sound quality is meddle class. Bot not too bad
4.) Bluetooth is too good specially for sending data.
5.) Media player support mp3/ mp4/3gp in same player.
6.) In view of price this is best (2800 in Mumbai)
Bit its also some BAD FACTOR-:
1.) when u playing song or video in media player and connected earpiece than sound will be become very low.
2.) When u open media player than all file who u store in memory (both) all songs are open in media list. You can not hide some file.
3.) I mean suppose you create xyx folder in your memory card. U created also an abc folder. And you want to play only xyz folder not abc that it can not possible directly through media player.
4.) Suppose u personalize your profile and set it. But when you press long # for become silence mode. And after you you long press # for Restore or comeback previous profibe it can not proforme here. I mean when u press long # second time the general profile will be activated.
5.) Camera is good but video recording is not too good. It quality is poor.
6.) Radio does not support without earpieces . but u can handsfree sound after connected earpiece.
7.) Battery backup-: in this phone battery back up is not good. My mobile battry run one day and one night when I used media player very rearly (some time). In most used the battery will be lost 4 to 5 hours.
